On the other hand Dieterich Puldnella, p. 30 derives the word from Διώνυσος [sic] Λσιος.’ [This sounds nonsense: Prof. Christ means that the word ΛυσιῳΔο, which in Strabo he. eit. is linked with Μαγῳδο and closely follows τν Σιμῳδαν, is according; to Dietrich connected with Δινυσος Λσιος, not as Strabo implies with Λσις].
