4 The question is less easy to settle than I had anticipated, but the possibilities seem to favour my suggestion. Since the above was written, I have obtained from Dr. K. Regling the following report upon the reading of the coin: ‘Die betr. Stelle der Hyrgaleis-Münze lautet auf den ersten Blick (nicht , und auch für Ν hinter Ω ist kein Platz). Bei genauer Prüfung zeigt sick aber, dass das Ω aus den Spuren von zwei oder drei anderen, durch starken Doppelschlag entstellten Lettern bestehen kann, und diese Spuren passen allenfalls zu ΛΟΔ.’
